My Story

I grew up in a small town in Canada. I moved to the United States in 1997 with a global company and now reside in Tennessee with my family.

I've been a singer/songwriter since grade school, and I also loved acting and theatre. I was in a band for a few years and had a blast. I realized in the ninth grade that I had a problem with typing. I was one of three kids accepted into a gifted program at another school, and wouldn't you know, I failed the mandatory typing class. At the time, I told myself it was because I was new at it. I grew up with a single mom and didn't have a computer at home. After I left that school in the ninth grade and until I went to university, typing wasn't a requirement. I was accepted to university with a full scholarship, majoring in Theatre Arts. I left the university after my first year in tears, as I had no idea that I was dyslexic. It was mandatory that I type all my papers. No matter how hard I tried, my fingers couldn't learn the keys on the keyboard without massive errors. However, I knew my brain could figure out what many in some companies struggled to do. So, I got a corporate job.

When COVID-19 hit in 2020, my husband encouraged me to start writing down my vivid dreams. Knowing my past issues with typing, I was initially apprehensive. However, to my surprise, after completing my third book, and now after four more, along with several dozen short stories, I haven't stopped typing, and I'm very fast when I use only my two index fingers.

My good friend, a writer, asked me to attend Thrillerfest in New York in 2022. I went again in 2023 & 2024, and recently in 2025. I thoroughly enjoy writing psychological thrillers and hiding easter eggs, and I equally enjoy putting my stories into script format. I've also been taking film directing courses, and I love it! I'm pitching my material, but knowing stats as I do, I plan to film my stories with like-minded creatives.

My pet peeve is secrets. I've added one after another in my upcoming debut, for the protagonist and you, the reader, to uncover. The heroes in all my stories are the true heroes in my life. The man in my debut thriller is inspired by someone else's father, a man from Scandinavia who was not only a decent and honest man but also looked out for me like a father. He paid for my move to the States. His goodness toward me changed my life for the better. Additionally, a former boss, an incredibly talented, brilliant woman from France, empowered me. She is another hero in my story.

I'm grateful and sincerely thrilled to be writing. I look forward to sharing my fictionalized stories with you on the page and on the screen!
